Ed Force One Is On It's Way!

Next month Iron Maiden, their crew and equipment will arrive in Australia on Ed Force One, an enormous Boeing 747-400 jumbo jet piloted by Vocalist Bruce Dickinson! Iron Maiden are set to play Perth Arena on Saturday 14 May as part of their Book of Souls World Tour.

Making its debut during the band’s Somewhere Back In Time Tour in February 2008, the first Ed Force One plane, a Boeing 757, took the band 50,000 miles around the world in just 45 days. 

Ed Force One made TV news headlines around the world and coverage of the tour was turned into an award-winning film and DVD Flight 666

The new and upgraded Ed Force One kicked off its maiden flight in Fort Lauderdale in February, marking the start of The Book of Souls World Tour. The plane will visit 36 countries in a five month period.

The plane which is said to be too heavy to land at Germany’s Dortmund airport next month, suffered a major accident in Santiago, Chile in March which required both of the Boeing 747’s port side jet engines to be replaced.

Ed Force One rejoined The Books of Souls Tour in Brazil after the massive repairs were completed in just 10 days.
