The Role

WA's home of live entertainment, music and sport, Perth Arena, is seeking a Maintenance Planner on a full time, fixed term basis.

Reporting to the Assets Manager, the Maintenance Planner contributes to Building Maintenance and Asset Management by providing administrative support to the Department to ensure the smooth running of the building.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Maintain the maintenance program using MEX database by monitoring incoming requests and promptly issuing work orders to appropriate contractors and team members to action
  • Ensure progress of work orders are followed up on and closed out in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that jobs carried out by contractors are documented correctly
  • Assist the team with contractor management; organising contractors coming into the venue and ensuring appropriate paperwork/certificates are acquired and renewals followed up as required
  • Manage the Service Agreements with regular contractors, including but not limited to obtaining quotes and creating contracts
  • Process purchase orders, invoices and credit cards for work orders and supplies generated by the department
  • Maintain the Asset Register and facilitate yearly asset stocktake for the entire venue
  • Generalised administration for the Assets team including and not limited to file management, document control

To be the successful candidate you will:
  • At least 2-3 years' experience in an similar administration role, in a similar environment
  • Experience in MEX Maintenance System (desirable)
  • Strong administration skills, including the use of Microsoft Office suites, devices and applications
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and a capacity for lateral thinking
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a larger team environment
  • Successful candidate will be required to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
